The project “Digital Toolbox for innovation in nursing education (I-Box)” provides teaching and learning materials (infographics, podcasts and videos) for nursing students and professionals. The materials from this project support the learning of technical skills nurses might need when attending patients in different healthcare settings.

Central line blood sampling

Central line is a catheter placed into a large vein and form an access to the central venous system. Central line is used to 1) administer medication or fluids 2) obtain blood sampling 3) and measure central venous pressure. Central line blood sampling is an aseptic technique and is usually part of patient care in intensive care units.
