The materials from this project support the learning of technical skills nurses might need when attending patients in different healthcare settings.

This post is also available in: Suomi (Finnish) Deutsch (German) Русский (Russian) Slovenščina (Slovenian) Español (Spanish)

The aim of the breath stimulating (ASE) rub is to help patients to breathe evenly, calmly and deeply. This is intended to support the patient’s body awareness and to promote his or her ability to concentrate and readiness for external stimuli.
People who should receive ASE are primarily characterized by superficial, rapid and sometimes irregular breathing.
