A subcutaneous venous port is a catheter placed into a large vein and form an access to the central venous system. A subcutaneous venous port is used to 1) administer medication or fluids and 2) obtain blood sampling. A subcutaneous venous port is accessed by healthcare providers with “Huber needle” which is done in an aseptic condition. After accessing into a subcutaneous venous port, the medication solution (e.g., chemotherapy) could be administered to the patient.
