Suctioning is required to maintain a clear airway. A suctioning catheter can be inserted through the nose or the mouth into the pharynx or trachea. The video shows aspiration through the nose into the throat. The preparation of the provider, mental and physical preparation of the patient, preparation of the space, preparation and examination of the necessary material, implementation of the intervention, and arrangement of the patient, surroundings, and documentation of the performed intervention are shown in the video.
