The project “Digital Toolbox for innovation in nursing education (I-Box)” provides teaching and learning materials (infographics, podcasts and videos) for nursing students and professionals. The materials from this project support the learning of technical skills nurses might need when attending patients in different healthcare settings.

In this video you can see how a nurse manages a difficult situation. This video shows different approaches to try to calm down a patient in mental distress. The first approach is starting with conversation and progressing to the escalation and mechanical restraint. The mechanical restrained is only appropriate in formally approved circumstances and can never be applied without prior consent.
